The new agreement includes changes to your benefit coverage effective May 13, 2026.
Sun Life is currently setting up the claim system for new benefits. If you have eligible expenses incurred on or after May 13, 2026, please hold on to them and submit after July 2, 2026.
Sun Life is also in the process of updating the OPSEU Unit 1 benefits booklet and expects it will be available by the end of June. The benefits booklets are accessible via AskHR.
Benefits coverage Toronto Metropolitan University is dependent on the member's employment status. A members Sun Life benefits booklet provides detailed information on the benefits coverage applicable to their employee group.

Please keep in mind that you need to submit the Group Benefits Enrollment Form to HR and register with Sun Life if you have not already done so.

Please note that you will need to provide Sun Life with your access ID (your employee number) and policy number (25180).
